About the Camp

Let your child explore their imagination and shine this summer in our Expressive Art Camp for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Designed for ages 5–8, our 8-week therapeutic summer program helps children build critical life skills through creative play, social interaction, and fun routines in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Whether your child loves painting, storytelling, music, or imaginative games, this camp offers an opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively—all while having an unforgettable summer!

What Makes This Camp Unique?

  • Therapeutically Designed: Created by clinicians experienced in ABA and child development, using evidence-based strategies that support communication, attention, and motor skills.
  • Creative Expression: From crafts and painting to movement and drama games, children learn to express emotions and build confidence through artistic exploration.
  • Structured, Predictable Routine: We support kids with transitions, group time, and classroom routines that help prepare them for school or group settings.
  • Low Ratios (2:1 or 3:1): Ensuring each child receives the attention they need, while encouraging peer interactions and independence.
  • OAP-Friendly: Eligible families may be able to use Ontario Autism Program (OAP) core funding to cover costs with goal-based learning and data tracking included.

Program Highlights

Each week is built around playful themes and meaningful skill-building opportunities:

  • Fine Motor Skills: Cutting, drawing, pasting, painting, sensory play
  • Social & Play Skills: Turn-taking, cooperative games, pretend play, group art
  • Communication Skills: Expressing wants/needs, answering questions, following instructions
  • Cognitive Skills: Matching, counting, letter/shape identification, simple storytelling
  • Gross Motor Fun: Obstacle courses, group movement games, outdoor exploration

Daily activities balance indoor learning and outdoor movement, with built-in routines like snack time, circle time, and art stations.
